Erin Kipp

Viola

Erin Kipp is an American violist currently residing in Salt Lake City, Utah. She enjoys a varied career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician and teacher. As a Utah native, Erin began her viola studies with world renowned violist David Dalton. Erin then went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Utah studying with Roberta Zalkind. While at the U, Erin was also part of the Mount Olympus Quartet, and together they won first prize in the inaugural Utah Chamber Music Competition. During her undergrad, she had the opportunity to study with Herbert Lindsberger at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. During her time at the Mozarteum, she was asked to perform as a soloist as part of the Schlosskonzerte Series in and around Salzburg. Captivated by the region and its culture, she returned the following summer to assume the role of associate principal viola in an opera festival orchestra in Eutin, Germany. After graduating from the University of Utah, Erin went to the University of Michigan where she studied under the renowned orchestral musician and soloist, Yizhak Schotten. While at the U of M, Erin was part of an ensemble that recorded Darius Milhaud’s “L’Orestie” which garnered a Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Opera Recording. Once leaving University of Michigan, Erin won a position with the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic. Erin enjoyed 8 seasons playing in the Philharmonic before moving to Salt Lake City. As a freelance musician, she can now be found regularly performing with the Utah Symphony as well as other musical groups in the area. Erin is passionate about teaching and maintains a private violin and viola studio. Her students have gotten into some of the most prestigious conservatories and music schools in the US and have gone on to win orchestral jobs themselves. When not performing, Erin can be found enjoying time outside with her husband and their two Whippets.

Donni Evans

Violin

Donni Evans is a freelance violinist based in Salt Lake City, Utah. A chamber musician, orchestral player, private teacher, and recording artist, she has a wide variety of experience in many settings. Last year she spent three months on tour with Our Planet – Live in Concert, a Netflix and BBC production, performing in over 30 states in the United States.
Donni regularly plays with several orchestras in Salt Lake City, including the Utah Symphony and the Ballet West Orchestra. She has performed onstage with many notable artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Itzhak Perlman, Ben Folds, Johnny Mathis, Capathia Jenkins, Nicolai Znaider, amongst others. As a chamber musician, she owns and operates Tribeca Ensemble, a professional string quartet for weddings and events primarily in Northern Utah. She also performs with the musical group Bloody Cabaret.
In the studio, she has recorded music for Warner Bros., Disney, Good Morning America, Lord of the Rings Online, as well as other television, video game, and film projects. She was part of the orchestra on Lea Salonga’s album The Story of My Life: Lea Salonga Live from Manila, as well as the string orchestra featured in Rob Schneider’s Netflix Special Asian Momma, Mexican Kids. Most recently, she has played for the upcoming albums of Kurt Bestor and GENTRI.
Donni holds a Master’s degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, studying under Mark Kaplan. She also holds a Bachelors of Music from Brigham Young University, where she was a student of Alexander Woods and Monte Belknap. She enjoys hiking in the outdoors, reading, traveling, and being an aunt.

As a native Utahn, Hannah is thrilled to be the cellist in the Beehive Quartet. Based in Salt Lake, she also enjoys being a member of the Ballet West Orchestra and regularly performs with the Utah Symphony. Hannah has enjoyed performing nationally and internationally. Recent highlights include a Christmas Tour with Kaskade, concerts with Kurt Bestor and David Archuletta, Andrea Bocelli, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and as principal cellist for Netflix’s Our Planet with David Attenborough Live in Concert US National tour. Hannah is a graduate from the the University of Colorado at Boulder (‘sko buffs!) where she studied with David Requiro. When Hannah isn’t jamming out on her cello, she enjoys traveling, learning languages, and playing games with her boyfriend and family.
